- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 eggs room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&M's
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. and line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Using an electric mixer, mix the butter until smooth. Add the brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
Beat in the eggs and mix until well combined but don't overmix. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt.
Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M's. Add the cookie dough mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread the dough evenly. Take your time and make sure it's even.
Bake for 27 minutes and allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing into it.
- Don't overbake these if you want the inside to be soft and chewy.
- It's essential that the butter and eggs are at room temperature.
- If enjoying these hours later, pop them in the microwave for 10 seconds to enjoy warm.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
