Equipment

  • Grill
  • skewers
  • tongs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes otherwise they can burn.
  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  • Add the shrimp, spice mixture, oil, and garlic to a large bowl and mix until well combined.
  • Thread shrimp onto skewers. I did about 4 shrimp per skewer.
  • Heat your grill to about 400 degrees F. and lightly oil the grill so the shrimp don't stick.
  • Place the skewers on the grill and sear for about 2 minutes. Flip the skewers and brush the shrimp with bbq sauce. Cook for about 1 minute then flip and brush with bbq sauce. Continue flipping the shrimp and brushing them with bbq sauce until they're fully cooked through.
  • Serve with fresh lemon and enjoy!

Notes

  • If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes otherwise they can burn.
