Baked Shrimp

Baked shrimp! It's full of flavor, buttery, garlicky, and super easy to make! All you need is raw jumbo shrimp and a few simple ingredients to make this delicious dish.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 4 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1 shallot finely diced
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 1 lemon sliced into rounds
  • ¼ teaspoon red crushed pepper flakes optional
  • ½ tablespoon fresh parsley minced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, parsley, red crushed pepper flakes, and shallots.
  • Place about 8 lemon slices in a cast iron skillet and place the raw shrimp on top of each lemon slice. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper on both sides. 
  • Pour the butter mixture over the shrimp and then bake the shrimp for 5-6 minutes depending on the size of the shrimp. 
  • Serve immediately and enjoy! 

Notes

  • Don't overcook the shrimp not even for a minute otherwise, they will become tough and dry.
  • If using frozen shrimp, make sure to thaw completely. For best results, use raw, peeled, and deveined shrimp.
