Classic Tater Tot Casserole

This classic tater tot casserole is a one-pan dish packed with flavor! It's easy to make and makes the best leftovers!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ small onion finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon granulated onion
  • 1 ten ounce can cream of mushroom
  • 1 ten ounce can condensed cheddar soup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup green peas
  • ½ cup corn
  • 32 ounce package frozen tater tots
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. 
  • Add the ground beef to a large (about 17 inches) oven-safe skillet, break it up, and cook for 7-8 minutes or until browned completely. 
  • Stir in the onions and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, granulated onion, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 2 minutes. 
  • Turn off the heat and stir in the cheddar cheese soup, cream of mushroom, peas, and corn. Mix until well combined, then use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly, and then top it off with the shredded cheese. 
  • Top the casserole with an even layer of frozen tater tots and then bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown. 
  • Serve warm and enjoy! 

Notes

  • Feel free to use ground turkey or ground chicken instead of ground beef.
  • If you want to make this vegetarian, use a blend of veggies instead of beef.
