Classic Tater Tot Casserole

- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ small onion finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon granulated onion
- 1 ten ounce can cream of mushroom
- 1 ten ounce can condensed cheddar soup
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
- ½ cup green peas
- ½ cup corn
- 32 ounce package frozen tater tots
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
Add the ground beef to a large (about 17 inches) oven-safe skillet, break it up, and cook for 7-8 minutes or until browned completely.
Stir in the onions and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, granulated onion, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 2 minutes.
Turn off the heat and stir in the cheddar cheese soup, cream of mushroom, peas, and corn. Mix until well combined, then use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly, and then top it off with the shredded cheese.
Top the casserole with an even layer of frozen tater tots and then bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown.
Serve warm and enjoy!
- Feel free to use ground turkey or ground chicken instead of ground beef.
- If you want to make this vegetarian, use a blend of veggies instead of beef.
