- 3 cups fresh or frozen corn
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning *check notes*
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar *check notes*
- ½ tablespoon fresh chives, for garnishing optional
- 3 tablespoons butter
Melt the butter in a large skillet over high heat. Once it's completely melted add the corn and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the Cajun seasoning and sugar. Cook for an additional 3 minutes. I recommend starting with ½ teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and working your way up.
If you're using sweet corn, omit the sugar. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for 1 minute.
Check for seasoning, garnish with chives, and enjoy!
- I added sugar because I used yellow corn. If you're using sweet corn, omit the sugar.
- Start with 1/2 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and work your way up. Keep in mind that every Cajun seasoning blend is different and some are a lot saltier than others.
- Store-bought Cajun seasoning works perfectly fine for this recipe!
