Ingredients

  • 1 lb salted butter 4 sticks *softened*
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 6 eggs room temperature
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F and grease a 12-cup bundt pan or tube pan with a removable bottom.
  • Mix the softened butter with an electric mixer for 3-4 minutes. Add the sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix for 3-4 minutes or until fluffy.
  • Add one egg at a time, making sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
  • Add the flour alternating with the milk beginning and ending with the flour. Mix until everything is well incorporated but don't overmix.
  • Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until the cake is fully cooked through. I recommend checking it at the 1 hour and 30-minute mark.
  • Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!

Notes

  • It's important to keep in mind that certain areas of the cake may cook quicker than others. To ensure that the cake is cooked evenly, I suggest inserting a knife into 3-4 different sections of the cake. If the knife comes out completely clean, the cake is fully cooked. However, be careful not to overbake it.
