- 1 lb salted butter 4 sticks *softened*
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour sifted
- 6 eggs room temperature
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F and grease a 12-cup bundt pan or tube pan with a removable bottom.
Mix the softened butter with an electric mixer for 3-4 minutes. Add the sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix for 3-4 minutes or until fluffy.
Add one egg at a time, making sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
Add the flour alternating with the milk beginning and ending with the flour. Mix until everything is well incorporated but don't overmix.
Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until the cake is fully cooked through. I recommend checking it at the 1 hour and 30-minute mark.
Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!
- It's important to keep in mind that certain areas of the cake may cook quicker than others. To ensure that the cake is cooked evenly, I suggest inserting a knife into 3-4 different sections of the cake. If the knife comes out completely clean, the cake is fully cooked. However, be careful not to overbake it.
