Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups Gruyere cheese shredded
  • ½ cup diced ham
  • 1 ½ cups half and half
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt or to taste
  • nonstick spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. and grease a 9-inch baking dish. Make sure to grease the sides as well.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, half and half, and salt until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of Gruyere cheese.
  • Spread the ham evenly into the greased baking dish. Pour the egg mixture slowly into the baking dish.
  • Add the remaining cheese on top of the egg mixture and bake for 42-45 minutes or until the center is just about set.
  • Allow the quiche to sit for 10-15 minutes before slicing into it and enjoy warm or at room temperature. Garnish with fresh chives, if desired!

Notes

  • Make sure to grease your baking dish generously so the quiche doesn't stick. Grease the sides of your dish as well.
  • To ensure a soft and creamy texture, be careful not to overbake the quiche.
  • Feel free to include spinach, peppers, mushrooms, etc.
