Tuna Melt Sliders

These hot tuna melt sandwiches are stuffed with tuna salad, cheddar cheese, and topped off with a garlic butter sauce. Serve with potato chips or French fries for the ultimate lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces canned tuna 2 five-ounce cans
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp sweet relish
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp Italian seasoning optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix the tuna, mayo, dijon mustard, sweet relish, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Add 4 slices of cheddar cheese to the bottom of the rolls. Add all of the tuna mixture on top of the cheese and cover with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  • Place the top buns over the cheese layer and brush with the garlic butter sauce. To make the garlic butter sauce, simply mix the melted butter, poppy seeds, granulated garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Once the 20 minutes are up, uncover and bake for an additional minute.
  • Serve warm, brush some extra butter on top, if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

Bake the sliders covered in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Bake for 1 minute uncovered. 
Use any extra toppings you desire.
