This authentic sofrito recipe is a mixture of onions, peppers, garlic, and herbs blended in a food processor or blender until smooth. A Latin puree that is used in Latin American and Caribbean cooking.

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions
  • 12 garlic cloves
  • 8 ajies dulces sweet peppers
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 Cubanelle peppers
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 bunch culantro
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  • Begin my washing all of the produce. Place all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until you reach the consistency you prefer.
