Air Fryer Filet Mignon

This air fryer filet mignon is seasoned and cooked to perfection, then topped off with delicious garlic butter. Super tender, lean, and cooked in under 20 minutes!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 filet mignons about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • cooking spray

Garlic Butter

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1 garlic clove finely minced
  • 1 tbsp chives fresh
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. 
  • Brush the olive oil over the steaks and season liberally with sea salt and black pepper on both sides. 
  • Cook the steaks for 6 minutes, flip it, and cook for an additional 3 minutes for medium-rare. 
  • To make the garlic butter, mix the softened unsalted butter, fresh minced garlic, and fresh chives. Season with salt and pepper. 
  • Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 10 minutes. Serve the steaks with garlic butter and enjoy! 

Notes

  • For rare, cook for 5-6 minutes total or until it reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees F.
  • For medium-rare, cook for 9-10 minutes total or until it reaches 135 degrees F. Medium rare will be slight to the touch with slight resistance.
  • Medium should be cooked for 11-12 minutes or until it reaches 145 degrees F.
  • Well done steak should be cooked for 15 minutes or until it reaches 160 degrees F. Well done will be very firm.
