- 14 jalapeno peppers
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 2 scallions finely sliced
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- 3/4 cups panko bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- salt and pepper to taste
Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and discard the membrane and seeds using a small spoon.
Season the jalapeno peppers lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, scallions, granulated garlic, and cheddar cheese.
In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs and melted butter. Mix well.
Fill the jalapeno peppers with the cheese mixture and then top it off with the bread crumb mixture.
Spray your air fryer basket with nonstick spray and turn it on to 360 degrees F.
Place the peppers in the air fryer basket and cook for 6-8 minutes. Enjoy!
- Want to make it low carb and keto-friendly? Omit the breadcrumbs.
- Because there is no bacon or chorizo involved, I like to season the jalapeno peppers with a little bit of salt. Adds flavor.
- Not a fan of cheddar cheese? Feel free to use Colby Jack, Pepperjack cheese, or any type of cheese you prefer.
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened otherwise it will be a bit difficult to mix.
- Wear gloves when handling jalapeno poppers.
