- 1 cup Jasmine rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp Kosher salt or to taste
In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Once the butter melts, add the minced garlic and cook for 10 seconds.
Add the water and salt and let it come to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, stir in the rice, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes and don't uncover the rice while it cooks.
Once the 15 minutes are up, uncover and fluff the rice with a fork. Stir in 1 tbsp of butter and check for seasoning.
Garnish with remaining butter and fresh parsley, if desired. Enjoy immediately.
- Make sure to cover the rice with a lid and cook on low heat. If you cook the rice on high heat, it may burn and stick to the bottom of the saucepan.
- Avoid stainless steel saucepans and use a nonstick saucepan.
