Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt or to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Once the butter melts, add the minced garlic and cook for 10 seconds.
  • Add the water and salt and let it come to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, stir in the rice, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes and don't uncover the rice while it cooks.
  • Once the 15 minutes are up, uncover and fluff the rice with a fork. Stir in 1 tbsp of butter and check for seasoning.
  • Garnish with remaining butter and fresh parsley, if desired. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure to cover the rice with a lid and cook on low heat. If you cook the rice on high heat, it may burn and stick to the bottom of the saucepan.
  • Avoid stainless steel saucepans and use a nonstick saucepan.
