The Ultimate Shrimp Scampi! Whether served with rice or pasta, this is a fantastic weeknight meal. Ready in under 15 minutes.
Servings: 2 servings
- 1 lb Shrimp
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp red crushed pepper
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 lb spaghetti
Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Add the olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter to a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 30 seconds on each side.
Stir in the red crushed pepper, lemon zest, and garlic.
Add the lemon juice and white wine and cook until the wine reduces by half.
Stir in the remaining butter and season with salt and pepper.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
- I highly suggest seasoning the shrimp with paprika to give it some color.
- Double the sauce recipe, if you like it extra saucy.
