Equipment

  • Cast Iron Skillet

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in and skin on chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 1/2 tsp red crushed pepper optional
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, granulated garlic, onion powder, and oregano.
  • In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic cloves, red crushed pepper, lime zest, and lime juice.
  • Heat some oil in a large skillet over high heat and cook the chicken on each side for 4-5 minutes.
  • Bake the chicken for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, brush the chicken with the honey lime sauce generously. Do that every 5 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked through. I baked the chicken for a total of 35 minutes.
  • Enjoy with fresh cilantro, extra lime, and rice!

Notes

Cook the chicken uncovered for best results.
