- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp fresh chives
- 2 tsp granulated garlic
- 2 tsp onion powder

Add some oil to a large skillet then add the onions and sugar and cook for 25 minutes over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.

In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, granulated garlic, onion powder, chives, and caramelized onions. Season generously with salt and pepper.
Garnish with chives and caramelized onions, if desired.
- Add some sugar to the onions while they cook so they caramelize evenly and quicker. Also, season the onions generously with salt and pepper.
- Make sure you use softened cream cheese or else it will be difficult to mix with the other ingredients.
