Cajun Fried Corn

This Cajun fried corn is buttery, packed with flavor, and super easy to make! The perfect side dish for any holiday or busy weeknight meal.

Serve it with Southern fried shrimp and creamy mashed potatoes for a delicious dinner meal.

INGREDIENTS

– fresh or frozen corn – heavy cream – cajun seasoning – granulated sugar – fresh chives – butter

Melt the butter in a large skillet over high heat. Once it's completely melted add the corn and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the Cajun seasoning and sugar. Cook for an additional 3 minutes. I recommend starting with ½ teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and working your way up.

If you're using sweet corn, omit the sugar. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for 1 minute.

Check for seasoning, garnish with chives, and enjoy!

Tips and Recipe Variations

- I added sugar because I used yellow corn. If you’re using sweet corn, omit the sugar. - Start with 1/2 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and work your way up.
