Buttermilk Belgian Waffles

These fluffy buttermilk Belgian waffles are super easy to make and no separating eggs required! Crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, just the ultimate breakfast! Enjoy these with syrup, butter, and a cup of coffee or a cold glass of milk.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions

  • Mix the sugar, eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter in a large bowl.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix until well combined but do not overmix.
  • Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray and add about 1 cup of the waffle batter to the iron and cook until done.
  • Enjoy warm, with syrup and butter.

Notes

  • Do not turn the waffle on until you've prepared the batter, if the waffle iron gets too hot the waffles can come out dry. 
  • Do not overmix the batter.
