Camarones Al Ajillo

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine optional
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 6 garlic cloves sliced or minced
  • 1 tsp red crushed pepper optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh cilantro

Instructions

  • Peel and devein the shrimp and dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the oil, garlic, and red crushed pepper to a large skillet and cook over medium heat. Cook the garlic for 2 minutes or until it turns golden.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 30 seconds on each side. Stir in the white wine and lemon juice. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the wine reduces by half. Season with salt and pepper, serve with fresh cilantro or parsley, and enjoy!
