Course: Entree
Cuisine: American
Servings: 2
- 1 ½ lbs king crab legs
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- old bay seasoning to taste
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
To cut the crab legs open, hold the leg firmly with one hand using a towel and use the kitchen shears to cut lengthwise along the shell on both sides to expose the crab meat. Remove the top shell.
Place the crab legs on a baking sheet, cover them with aluminum foil, and bake for 15 minutes.
While the crab legs bake, prepare the garlic butter. Simply mix the melted butter with minced garlic. If using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt.
Once the 15 minutes are up, remove the crab legs from the oven and brush each one with garlic butter, and season with old bay seasoning. Cover and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Serve with lemon, melted butter, and enjoy!
- Don't overbake the crab legs otherwise, they will dry out.
- Brush the crab legs with a generous amount of garlic butter and season them with old bay seasoning for maximum flavor!
