Cheddar Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

large russet potatoes
1 1/4
cup
milk

cups
cheddar cheese
1/2
tsp
granulated garlic
2
garlic cloves

tbsp
softened butter

sour cream
salt to taste
Instructions
Peel and wash the potatoes.
Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with salted water.
Bring up to a boil and cook for 45-50 minutes or until tender.
Drain the potatoes.
Place the milk, granulated garlic, and fresh garlic in a saucepan and bring up to a simmer.
Using a potato masher mash the potatoes and stir in the butter and hot milk mixture.
Add 1/2 of the cheddar cheese and sour cream.
Season with salt.
Cover the potatoes with the remaining cheese and place under the broiler for 2 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted.
Garnish with fresh chives if desired and enjoy!
