Servings: 4
- 1 lb salmon cut into 2-inch chunks
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup cholula hot sauce
- 3 teaspoons granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
- nonstick spray
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F. for 5 minutes and spray the basket with nonstick spray.
In a small bowl, combine the granulated garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Slice the salmon into 2-inch chunks and season with salt, pepper, the spice blend, and lemon juice.
Add the honey and hot sauce to a small bowl and mix until well combined. Reserve about 1/4 cup of the sauce and set it aside.
Pour the hot honey sauce over the salmon chunks and mix well. Place the salmon chunks in the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F. Don't overcrowd the air fryer, cook in batches.
Place the salmon bites on a platter and pour the remaining 1/4 cup hot honey sauce over the top and enjoy!
- Allow the salmon to sit at room temperature for at least 20 minutes before cooking. This will allow the salmon to cook evenly.
- Don't overcook the salmon bites. The salmon bites are very small and don't need to cook that long. Doing so will result in dry salmon bites.
- Want to make these spicier? Add more cayenne pepper!
- Make sure all of the salmon chunks are about the same size otherwise they won't cook evenly.
