- 6 large eggs hard boiled
- 2 tablespoons mayo
- 1 tablespoon butter softened
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons pickle juice
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- paprika
- 2-3 crispy bacon strips cut into bite-sized pieces
Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Let it come to a boil and cook for 7-8 minutes.
Drain the eggs and place them in iced water. Peel the eggs and slice them lengthwise. Remove the egg yolks and transfer it to a large bowl. Season the egg whites with a pinch of salt.
Smash the yolks with a fork. Add the mayo, dijon mustard, pickle juice, hot sauce, sugar, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Spoon filling into each egg white and top it off with crispy bacon. Sprinkle the deviled eggs with paprika, if desired, and enjoy!
- Let the deviled eggs chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving for best results.
- You can use a spoon to fill the egg whites or put the yolk mixture into a plastic bag and pipe it into the whites for a fancier look. I personally prefer using a spoon cause it's so much easier!
- The second the eggs are done cooking, place them in a bowl with ice-cold water to stop the cooking process.
- Don't overcook the eggs; otherwise, they will get a green ring around the yolk.
- Taste the yolk mixture and adjust it to your liking before filling the egg whites.
- Want to make these keto-friendly? Omit the sugar.
