Ingredient Notes
See the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and complete instructions.
- Chocolate Chips – I highly recommend using semi-sweet chocolate chips for this recipe. Dark chocolate can make it too bitter, while milk chocolate can make it overly sweet.
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder – Just be sure to use unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Sugar – You’ll need both granulated and light brown sugar for this recipe.

Top Tips
- Don’t over bake, otherwise the brownie will come out dry. Start checking it around the 25 minute mark.
- Use good quality chocolate chips and vanilla ice cream for this recipe for best results.
- Serve with coffee or a cold glass of milk 🙂

Storage
If you have leftovers, remove any ice cream, then cover the brownie or store it in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 days. Do not refrigerate.
