Why I Love This Monkey Bread Recipe

    • You only need 5 ingredients and it bakes in under 40 minutes! Super easy to make.
    • It’s gooey, soft, and absolutely delicious. One of my all-time favorite childhood desserts!
    • This pull-apart bread can be enjoyed with a fork or your fingers. I love to serve it on a platter and my family just picks at it.
    • It tastes like churros and cinnamon rolls but it’s so much easier to make.

    Ingredient Notes

Canned Biscuits – I highly recommend using two store-bought refrigerated cans of original biscuits.

    Butter – Unsalted and melted.

    How To Make

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and spray a bundt pan with nonstick spray.
    2. Open the biscuit cans and cut each biscuit into quarters.
    3. Combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a large freezer or paper bag.
    4. Place 1/2 of the biscuit quarters into the bag and shake to mix evenly. Place the sugar coated biscuit quarters in the bundt pan. Repeat with the remaining biscuit quarters.
    5. Combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well for about 40 seconds. It should be nice and thick like caramel.
    6. Pour the brown sugar mixture all over the biscuits. Bake for 37-40 minutes.
    7. Once it’s done baking, allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes and then turn it over onto a plate and enjoy!

Top Tips For The Ultimate Monkey Bread

    • Make sure to mix the brown sugar and melted butter well!
    • If you enjoy monkey bread on the softer side, only bake for 35-37 minutes. If you like it well done, bake for 40-45 minutes.
    • Coat each biscuit quarter generously with the sugar cinnamon mixture.
    • If there’s any sugar cinnamon mixture leftover, simply pour it over the biscuits.
    • You can modify this recipe to your liking, want to add some crunch? Throw in pecans or walnuts!

Why Do They Call It Monkey Bread?

They call it monkey bread because it’s meant to be eaten with your fingers. You pick apart the bread just like a monkey would. This pastry has many different names, such as bubble bread and pull-apart bread.
