This pizza monkey bread is cheesy and garlicky pull-apart bread baked to perfection. Serve with a marinara sauce for the ultimate party or game day appetizer!
Hot And Cheesy Pizza Monkey Bread
- It’s so easy to make, requires only a handful of ingredients, and feeds a crowd!
- Super soft, buttery, and gooey with crisp edges. Sometimes monkey bread can overcook on the outside and remain raw on the inside, not this pizza monkey bread! It cooked perfectly.
- The inspiration for this recipe came from this cheesy garlic bread and this monkey bread.
- Cooks in just 55 minutes!
Ingredient Notes
Canned Biscuits – The refrigerated kind.
Canned Pizza Crust -If you can’t find refrigerated canned pizza crust, feel free to use pizza dough instead.
Pepperoni – I used regular pepperoni but feel free to use turkey pepperoni or sausage instead.
Cheese – A combination of shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and buffalo mozzarella is best for this recipe.
How To Make
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a small bowl mix the melted butter, garlic powder, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix the dough and butter mixture.
- Place half of the dough mixture in a 10-inch bundt pan. Top it off with buffalo mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices. Place the remaining dough mixture on top and top it off with the shredded mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, remaining pepperoni slices, and 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Once the 45 minutes are up, uncover and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Loosen the edges with a butter knife and invert it on a plate. Serve warm with marinara sauce, and enjoy!
Top Tips And Recipe Variations
- Make sure to cover with aluminum foil while it bakes so the top doesn’t burn.
- If the cheese and pepperoni get stuck to the aluminum foil, simply top it off with extra cheese and pepperoni slices.
- Add as many pizza toppings as you like such as mushrooms, olives, peppers, onions, sausage, etc.
- Want to make it spicy? Add a generous pinch of red crushed pepper flakes.
Storage
Place any leftovers in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days although I highly recommend enjoying this warm straight out of the oven.
