Nutella Cupcakes
I love nutella. These rich cupcakes are super easy to make and just require just a dollop on top to complete the look. The cake is moist and fluffy and compliments the chocolate and hazelnuts.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup sourcream
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Nutella Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 oz unsalted butter
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup nutella
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees, line a 12 piece cupcake tin with liners and set aside
- Sift the all purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, sour cream, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter and sugar then add the flour mixture
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix
- Using an ice-cream scoop, divide the batter evenly in the lined muffin tin
- Bake cupcakes for about 14 minutes or until done. Let them cool completely before frosting
- To make the frosting, mix the butter and cream cheese until smooth
- Add the powdered sugar and nutella and mix until smooth and creamy
- Cut a hole in the center of the cupcake and fill with Nutella
- Frost cupcakes, pop a ferrero rocher on top, drizzle some warm Nutella and Enjoy!
