Saying I love these is an understatement. I am obsessed and have been since I was crawling. My family would always buy these from a bakery because well they kind of look difficult to make at home if you’re not an avid baker. They can be a bit tedious to make if you make the puff pastry from scratch, however, I use store-bought puff pastry. I wouldn’t lie to you, they taste exactly like the ones at the bakery. If you summer in Miami Florida and have never tried these little darlings, do make sure you get one next time you visit. I prefer them warm with a cup of coffee.

What brand of puff pastry do you happen to use? I’m going to try to make these. Haven’t had a good one since I got to Jersey 🙂
Hi Nick, I always use pepperidge farm but if you can find a better quality brand, I’d say go for it. I don’t have many options at my local grocery store. The only brands are pepperidge farm and the generic brand. Let me know how it turns out 🙂
I forgot to let you know how they turned out. They were amazing 🙂 I ended up making 3 types. Guayaba, Carne and Guayaba y queso. Better than Vicky bakery or whatever bakery your family visits when you’re in south Florida 🙂
Thanks again!
