    WHAT IS A COBBLER?

A cobbler is a type of baked dessert that typically consists of a fruit filling topped with a batter or pastry crust. The fruit filling is often made with ingredients like berries, peaches, apples, or cherries, combined with sugar and sometimes spices.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS BLACKBERRY COBBLER

    • It’s the perfect recipe for the holidays or hot summer days. Basically, you can serve this year-round.
    • Tastes great on its own but tastes so much better when served with vanilla ice cream.
    • Made from scratch with simple ingredients.
    • It’s the BEST blackberry cobbler I’ve ever had!

    INGREDIENT NOTES

See the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and complete instructions.

    • Blackberries – If you’re not a fan of blackberries, feel free to use any type of berries you have on hand. You can use cherries, blueberries, or even peaches!
    • Flour – All-purpose flour is recommended for this recipe.
    • Butter – Make sure to use good quality unsalted melted butter.
    • Milk – Use whole milk for the best results.

    TOP TIPS

    • I highly recommend using fresh blackberries, but if using frozen berries, make sure not to thaw them otherwise, they will become mushy.
    • Bake for 36-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. However, make sure not to overbake it, not even for 1 minute, otherwise, the cobbler will turn out dry.
    • I can’t stress this enough, serve the cobbler warm!
    • Blackberries are heavy, so don’t worry if they sink to the bottom.

    STORAGE

Place any leftovers in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds until heated through.
