The holidays are fast approaching and this is a fun and festive recipe to make for loved ones. This recipe makes about 40 servings and I personally like to place them in little gift boxes for family and friends. If you enjoyed these pecan pralines, then you will love these crockpot candy clusters.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Peanuts – I like to use one jar of unsalted peanuts and one jar of salted peanuts to balance the sweetness. If you only use unsalted peanuts, the candies will turn out way too sweet. Also, make sure to use roasted peanuts and not raw peanuts. However, any roasted nut will work for this recipe.
    • Almond Vanilla Bark – You’ll need two 24-ounce packages of white vanilla almond bark.
    • Butterscotch Chips – Not a fan of butterscotch chips? Use peanut butter chips instead!
    • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips – Feel free to use dark chocolate instead. Avoid milk chocolate for this recipe, I find that it makes it too sweet.

Can I Make This On The Stovetop?

If you don’t own a slow cooker that’s perfectly fine. Place the chocolate, butterscotch chips, and almond bark in a large pot and cook over low heat while stirring occasionally. This should take about 20 minutes. Once the chocolate mixture is nice and smooth, turn off the heat and fold in the peanuts. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drop 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture onto the parchment paper. Allow them to set at room temperature for at least 1 hour.

    Top Tips

    • Use good quality ingredients for the best results.
    • Add all of the ingredients to the slow cooker but DO NOT stir! Just cover and cook on slow for one hour. After one hour, give it a good stir, cover it, and cook for 1 hour. You’re going to cook it for a total of 2 hours on low heat.
    • If you enjoy these on the softer side, do not place them in the fridge to set. Allow them to set at room temperature.
    • Feel free to decorate these with dried fruit, sea salt, or sprinkles while they’re still hot. If you wait until they set, the sprinkles, salt, or fruit won’t stick to the candies.

    Storage

Allow the crockpot candies to set completely then transfer them to an air-tight container or plastic bag. You can store them at room temperature for a few days or refrigerate them for up to 2 weeks.
