This homemade bang bang sauce tastes just like the one at the bonefish grill restaurant. It requires four ingredients and is super easy to make! Perfect for dipping fried shrimp, fried calamari, or french fries!
This bang bang sauce is creamy, sweet, and spicy. Although it is traditionally served with seafood, feel free to serve it with veggies or the protein of your choice.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS SAUCE
- You can adjust it to your liking. If you want it spicier, you can add more sriracha sauce, and if you want it sweeter, you can add more sweet chili sauce.
- It goes great with anything! Drizzle it over salmon, chicken, shrimp, you name it!
- It can be served as a dip or salad dressing.
INGREDIENT NOTES
- Mayo – I highly recommend full-fat Hellman’s mayonaisse.
- Sweet Chili Sauce – You can find this in the Asian section at your local supermarket.
- Sriracha – An Asian spicy condiment that adds heat!
- Lemon – Optional but adds great flavor! Especially if serving with seafood.
- Salt and Pepper – Season generously for best results.
TOP TIPS
- Make sure your ingredients are fresh and aren’t expired.
- Once you’re done mixing all of the ingredients, check for seasoning and add more salt if needed.
CAN I MAKE THIS IN ADVANCE?
Absolutely! You can make this 2-3 days in advance, just make sure to place it in an air-tight container and refrigerate it. It should stay fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days.
