This crockpot creamy chicken pasta is perfect for feeding a crowd! It requires 5 simple ingredients and a few dried spices. It’s creamy, loaded with flavor, and super easy to put together!
Creamy pastas are my absolute favorite! In fact, my most popular recipes include cream! This creamy chicken pasta includes shredded chicken but feel free to chop it into bite-sized pieces if you’re not a fan of shredded chicken.
This dish pairs wonderfully with a side salad and cheesy garlic bread.
INGREDIENT NOTES
See the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and complete instructions.
- Pasta – I used rotini pasta but feel free to use whatever pasta you have on hand.
- Chicken – I highly recommend using boneless skinless chicken breasts for this recipe.
- Alfredo Sauce – Store-bought Alfredo sauce is what I used but feel free to use this homemade three cheese alfredo sauce.
- Cream Cheese – Make sure it’s softened at room temperature otherwise your sauce will curdle.
- Spices – I used a combination of garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika but feel free to use the spices of your choice!
- Parmesan Cheese – Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for best results.
HOW TO MAKE IT
- Spray your crockpot sleeve with nonstick spray and place the chicken breasts in it along with the spices. Pour the Alfredo sauce over the chicken and then top it off with the cream cheese. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4 hours.
- Once the chicken has about 10 minutes left to cook, start cooking the pasta on the stovetop in boiling salted water until it’s al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
- Remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks or an electric mixer. Place the shredded chicken back into the crockpot along with the cooked pasta and pasta water. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
PRO TIPS
- I like to use an electric mixer to shred the chicken but feel free to shred the chicken with two forks. If using an electric mixer, don’t mix the chicken for too long otherwise the chicken will start to resemble canned tuna.
- Season with salt and pepper for maximum flavor!
- If you find that the pasta starts to dry up, add more Alfredo sauce and pasta water to make it extra creamy.
STORAGE & REHEATING
You can turn on the “warm” setting on your crockpot and it will remain warm for a few hours or until you turn it off. However, if you have any leftovers, allow them to cool completely then transfer them to an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
To reheat, simply reheat in the microwave or stovetop until heated through.
