I highly recommend cooking the shrimp and green beans separately because shrimp cook extremely quickly, and green beans take a bit longer. However, once you add the sauce, you’ll want to combine everything together and let it simmer for a minute or two. It’s that easy! WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS RECIPE

  • Green beans are good for you, and you can include more veggies such as bell peppers and mushrooms to make it even healthier.
  • If you serve it with rice, it soaks up all the sauce, and it’s so good!
  • No fancy ingredients are required!

INGREDIENT NOTES

  • Shrimp – You’ll need peeled and deveined raw shrimp for this recipe. If using frozen shrimp, make sure to thaw completely and pat dry it with a paper towel.
  • Green Beans – Use fresh green beans, avoid frozen ones. If you’re not a fan of green beans, use broccoli instead or simply omit them.
  • Soy Sauce – It’s the base of the sauce.
  • Honey – If you don’t have honey on hand, use sugar instead.
  • Garlic – Use fresh garlic for best results.
  • Cornstarch – Helps to thicken the sauce.
  • Sesame Oil – Optional but adds great flavor!

TOP TIPS

  • The recipe can easily be adjusted to your liking. If you want it sweeter, add more honey, if you want it saltier, add more soy sauce or salt.
  • I used red pepper flakes to add a little bit of heat but if you like it extra spicy, add a generous amount of red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • Garnish with scallions or sesame seeds for extra crunch.
  • This recipe works with chicken breasts or scallops as well.

STORAGE

Allow any leftovers to cool completely then transfer them to an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Simply reheat in the microwave or stovetop until heated through.

Great recipe! Even my kid who normally doesn’t like stir fry type of dishes enjoyed it. Will definitely use it again w different combos of protein and veggies! Paired it with hibachi style noodles and it was an excellent meal!
