If you love carrots then you’ll definitely love these delicious buttery honey-glazed carrots. They’re super easy to make and cook perfectly in under 15 minutes! Perfect for a busy weeknight, the holidays, and meal prepping. I love serving these with air fryer chicken breasts and creamy mashed potatoes.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Carrots – I used baby carrots but if you use whole carrots make sure to peel them and slice them in half lengthwise. Make sure your carrots are washed, scrubbed, and peeled.
    • Honey – If you don’t have honey, brown sugar works too!
    • Butter – I recommend using salted butter, but if you only have unsalted butter on hand, add a pinch of salt.
    • Garlic – Don’t have fresh garlic on hand? Use garlic powder instead.
    • Red Pepper Flakes – It adds a spicy kick but it’s completely optional.
    Labeled ingredients.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 360 degrees F for 5 minutes.
    2. Coat the carrots with 2 tbsp of melted butter and season with salt and pepper.
    3. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and lay the carrots in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes.
    4. While the carrots cook, prepare the honey butter garlic sauce. Combine the remaining melted butter, honey, red pepper flakes, and garlic. Mix well.
    5. Once the 8 minutes are up, toss the carrots with the honey butter garlic sauce and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes. Check for seasoning and add more salt and pepper if needed.
    6. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and enjoy!

    Top Tips

    • Want to make these extra spicy? Add a splash of sriracha or a generous pinch of cayenne pepper to the honey butter garlic sauce.
    • Make sure to season the carrots generously with salt and pepper!
    • Want the carrots extra caramelized? Cook them a few minutes longer.

    Storage

Have leftovers? Allow the carrots to cool completely and then place them in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 4-5 days.
