Firecracker baked salmon is the ultimate weeknight meal! Better than takeout and super easy to make. Serve this with some rice or creamy mashed potatoes.

The great thing about salmon is the fact that it’s super easy to cook and it’s also good for you. Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and high in B vitamins. Baked salmon recipes are my all-time favorite weeknight meals.

This firecracker baked salmon is packed with flavor and is also very versatile. This salmon is sweet and spicy but if you’re not a fan of heat, reduce the sriracha amount by half.

You may bake the salmon in a preheated oven at 375 degrees F for 13 minutes or cook it on the stovetop. Pan-Seared Lemon Butter Salmon is one of my most popular recipes and it was the inspiration for this recipe.

After enjoying this firecracker baked salmon, indulge in a slice of lemon cake with cream cheese buttercream!

Ingredients you’ll need for firecracker baked salmon:

    • Salmon
    • Brown Sugar
    • Sriracha
    • Garlic
    • Lime
    • Salt
    • Soy Sauce

    How to bake salmon:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Let the salmon come to room temperature and then bake for 13-14 minutes or until the salmon is fully cooked through. The USDA recommends a minimum internal temperature of 145 F. I highly recommend using an instant-read thermometer.

    Recipe Tips:

    • It takes less than 5 minutes to prepare the marinade for this recipe and only requires 7 ingredients!
    • Make sure you line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat, parchment paper, or aluminum foil, for easy cleanup.
    • Don’t cook the salmon pieces close to each other otherwise it won’t cook evenly. Leave some space in between each piece.
    • Season the salmon with kosher salt before adding the sauce.
    • Not a fan of lime juice? Use lemon juice instead.
    • Garnish with green onions, parsley, or fresh chives.
