INGREDIENT NOTES

  • Sweet Potatoes – I like boiling them until fork-tender but feel free to bake them instead.
  • Honey – Maple syrup or brown sugar can be used as well!
  • Bacon – Avoid store-bought bacon bits. You want the real deal here! Here’s a great way to cook bacon.
  • Goat Cheese – Cream cheese works too!
  • Butter – Make sure to use softened unsalted butter for this recipe.

TOP TIPS

  • If you don’t have a potato masher, use an electric mixer or a potato ricer to mash the sweet potatoes.
  • Make sure to boil the potatoes until they’re completely tender.
  • I highly recommend topping the mashed sweet potatoes with lots of crispy bacon, goat cheese, and chives for best results. If you don’t have chives, scallions work too!
  • Want to make these extra delicious? Use candied bacon!
