When I want a quick and easy breakfast recipe I turn to these blueberry pancakes, lemon ricotta pancakes, and bacon and corn pancakes.

If you’ve ever had Danish pancake balls and enjoyed them then you are going to love these. The pancake base is absolutely delicious and fail-proof. Don’t want to use Nutella? Stuff these with raspberry jam, cheese, sausage, or any other filling you can think of. Mother’s Day is right around the corner and this is the ultimate brunch recipe.

    Ingredients You’ll Need

Ingredients to make Nutella stuffed Danish pancakes. Eggs, buttermilk, butter, Nutella, flour, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
    • Flour
    • Eggs – You’ll need 3 egg yolks and 5 egg whites.
    • Melted Butter
    • Nutella – As I mentioned above, Nutella is completely optional.
    • Buttermilk
    • Sugar
    • Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and Salt.

How To Make Nutella Stuffed Pancakes

    1. Begin by separating the egg yolks from the whites. Discard two egg yolks, you only need 3. Beat the egg whites using an electric mixer until fluffy.
    2. In a large bowl, mix the 3 egg yolks, buttermilk, melted butter, sour cream, and sugar until well combined. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and mix. Don’t over mix.
    3. Fold in the egg whites until well incorporated. Grease the aebleskiver pan and heat over medium-low heat. Add about 1/4 cup to each slot and then add about 1 tbsp of Nutella to each pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes and then flip the pancakes over and cook for 1-2 minutes.
    4. Enjoy with powdered sugar and maple syrup if desired.

Can I Still Make These Without An Aebleskiver Pan?

Absolutely, simply cook the pancakes how you normally do and then add Nutella on top and additional pancake batter on top of the Nutella. You can also use this cake pop machine.
