I love homemade green smoothies because they’re good for you and much more economical to make at home. What I love most about this smoothie is how versatile the recipe can be. Want to make it thicker? Add more yogurt. Want to thin it out? Add more milk or water. It’s that simple.

Why You’ll Love This Spinach Banana Smoothie

    • You can make this in under 5 minutes.
    • The perfect smoothie to make when your spinach and fruits are about to go bad.
    • It’s perfectly thick but not as thick as a milkshake.
    • Spinach is rich in many nutrients including Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Iron, and Potassium.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Spinach – Use fresh spinach. Kale works too!
    • Banana – Make sure it’s a ripe banana. You can also use a frozen banana if you don’t have ice on hand.
    • Yogurt – I used sugar-free vanilla yogurt but feel free to use regular vanilla yogurt or plain yogurt. If using plain yogurt, add a few tablespoons of honey to sweeten it up.
    • Milk – Any type of milk such as whole milk, almond milk, or oat milk will work. You can also use water or coconut water instead.

    How To Make

    1. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

    Top Tips

    • If you like your smoothies really cold, make sure all of your ingredients are cold, and make sure to add enough ice.
    • Make sure you blend the smoothie well so it isn’t icy.
    • Feel free to add 1 tsp of chia seeds or pumpkin seeds if you have them on hand.
    • Add a scoop of protein if you wish.
