These baked turkey and havarti cheese sliders are made with Hawaiian rolls, honey mustard, and deli meat and cheese. They’re brushed with garlic butter for maximum flavor and bake in just 18 minutes!
Perfect for tailgating, parties, or any get-together. I love serving it as an appetizer but feel free to serve it with chips or onion rings for a complete meal.

INGREDIENTS FOR TURKEY AND HAVARTI CHEESE SLIDERS
See the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and complete instructions.
- Bread – I recommend using Kings Hawaiian or butter-flavored rolls because they’re super soft. However, feel free to use any fresh bread rolls you can get your hands on.
- Turkey – You’ll need about 1/2 lb of thinly sliced turkey deli meat for this recipe.
- Cheese – I used havarti cheese but feel free to use provolone, swiss, or the cheese of your choice.
- Butter – Unsalted or salted butter works.
- Garlic – Fresh garlic is highly recommended but if you don’t have any on hand, feel free to use granulated garlic instead.
- Parsley – Fresh or dried parsley works. It adds great color!
- Honey Mustard – Completely optional. Feel free to use the condiments of your choice.
HOW TO MAKE STEP-BY-STEP
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the rolls into two equal parts. Avoid separating the rolls and cutting them one by one, as you want them to stay attached to each other.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic, melted butter, and parsley until well combined. If using unsalted butter, season with salt.
- Brush the inside of the rolls with honey mustard. Layer the turkey and cheese evenly. I like to do two layers of cheese and one layer of turkey.
- Place the tops of the rolls onto the sandwiches and brush the tops with the butter mixture. Cover and bake for 16 minutes. Once the 16 minutes are up, uncover and bake for 2 minutes.
- Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving and enjoy!
TOP TIPS FOR THE PERFECT SLIDERS
- Don’t bake them uncovered otherwise the bread will become hard and/or burn.
- If you’re preparing these ahead of time, wait until you’re about to bake them before applying the butter mixture. If you do it too early, the rolls will get wet and lose their crispness.
- Serve warm for best results!
CAN I USE HAM INSTEAD?
Yes, of course! You can even use mayo instead of honey mustard! Feel free to swap out any ingredients for the ones you prefer.
STORAGE
Have any leftovers? Place them in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave until heated through.
