Why You’ll Love This Recipe

- You can adjust the honey glaze to your liking! I recommend tasting it before brushing the salmon with it.
- The honey glaze goes great on everything! Veggies, chicken, lamb chops, you name it!
- The leftovers are great for making a salmon bowl.
Ingredient Notes
- Salmon – Wild-caught or farm-raised salmon is fine for this recipe. If using frozen salmon, make sure to thaw it completely. I used skinless salmon but if using skin-on salmon, make sure to cook it skin-side down.
- Chili Paste – If you don’t have chili paste, feel free to use sriracha or red crushed pepper.
- Honey – The base for the sauce.
- Soy Sauce – Gives a salty flavor and balances the sweetness of the honey. It also thins out the honey, making it easier to spread on the salmon.
- Garlic – I highly recommend using fresh garlic.
How To Make
- Pat salmon dry and season with kosher salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray and place the salmon fillets in the basket. Cook at 400 degrees F for 4 minutes.
- While the salmon cooks, combine the honey, minced garlic, chili paste, and soy sauce. Taste it and adjust it to your liking. If you want it spicier, add more chili paste, if you want it sweeter, add more honey, and if you want it saltier, add more soy sauce.
- Once the 4 minutes are up, brush the salmon fillets generously with the honey soy sauce. Cook for an additional 3 minutes. The salmon was cooked for a total of 7 minutes.
- Enjoy the salmon with extra honey sauce, if desired.
Top Tips For The Perfect Air Fryer Honey Glazed Salmon
- Don’t overcook the salmon, I think 7 minutes at 400 degrees F is plenty but if your salmon fillets are on the thicker side, feel free to do 8-9 minutes.
- I prefer to cook the salmon for 4 minutes before brushing it with the sauce so the sauce doesn’t burn. However, if you like that charred look and taste, feel free to brush the raw salmon with the honey sauce and cook it for 7 minutes straight.
- I highly recommend serving the salmon fillets with the remaining honey sauce.
- Take the salmon out of the fridge at least 20 minutes before cooking. You want the salmon fillets to be at room temperature so they cook evenly.
Storage
If you have any leftovers allow them to cool completely then transfer them to an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
