    Why You’ll Love This Recipe

    • It’s super easy to make and there’s no cooking involved.
    • Feeds a very large crowd, about 18 servings.
    • It’s super cute but it’s also incredibly tasty.
    • Requires minimal ingredients.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Oreo Cookies – The crushed oreo cookies will resemble dirt, however, any type of crispy chocolate cookies will work.
    • Cool Whip – Keep in mind that cool whip needs to thaw in the refrigerator for at least one day, so buy it in advance.
    • Instant Vanilla Pudding – Any pudding flavor will work.
    • Cream Cheese – Adds flavor!
    • Milk – Any type of milk will work.

    How To Make

    1. Place the oreo cookies in a food processor and blend until the cookies are finely crushed.
    2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
    3. Add the instant vanilla pudding and milk and beat it for 2 minutes.
    4. Fold in the cool whip until it’s well combined.
    5. Place about 1 1/2 cups of cookie crumbs in a glass trifle bowl then top with some of the pudding mixture. Make sure to start with the crushed cookies and finish with the crushed cookies.
    6. Top with gummy worms and enjoy!

    Top Tips

    • If you want the oreo dirt cake to reach the top of the glass trifle bowl, you’re going to need two packages of Oreo cookies. You’ll need at least 90 Oreo cookies for this recipe.
    • Not a fan of Oreo cookies? Use chocolate graham cookies instead.
    • You can add food coloring to the pudding and make it orange or green for a more festive look.
    • This tastes best when served chilled. Keep refrigerated until serving.
    • Not a fan of cool whip and vanilla instant pudding? You may use homemade whipped cream and homemade vanilla pudding instead.
    • Chocolate pudding works too.

Can I Make This Without A Trifle Bowl?

Yes, of course. You can make this in a casserole dish or any bowl you have on hand.

    Storage

Cover the top of the trifle bowl with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
