    Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks

    These air fryer chicken drumsticks are marinated in the most delicious garlic ginger sauce. Feed a crowd in under 30 minutes and enjoy this with 4 cheese mac and cheese and creamy coleslaw for the ultimate meal!

    You guys loved this air fryer steak and air fryer breaded shrimp so of course, I had to continue sharing more air fryer recipes. You are going to love these chicken drumsticks and the dipping sauce too! Definitely use chicken thighs or chicken breasts instead if you prefer but do keep in mind that the cooking time will vary.

    Ingredients

    • Chicken Drumsticks aka Chicken Legs
    • Garlic Cloves
    • Ginger
    • Red Onion
    • Black Pepper
    • Chili Garlic Sauce
    • Tamari Soy Sauce
    • Freshly Squeezed Tangerine Juice or Orange Juice
    • Green Onions

    How to make air fryer chicken drumsticks 

    1. Thinly slice the red onion. Add red onion, whole garlic cloves, minced ginger, black pepper, chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, and orange juice to a food processor or blender. Blend for 30 seconds. Set aside ¼ cup
    2. Add drumsticks to a large mixing bowl and pour the sauce over the chicken. Gently toss to coat. 
    3. Preheat the air fryer to 400* for 5 minutes
    4. Add drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8 minutes, flip and cook an additional 7 minutes. 
    5. Remove drumsticks from the air fryer and place them on a serving platter. Top with chopped green onions and serve with remaining tangy ginger garlic sauce. Enjoy!

    Do I need an air fryer to make these?

    You can make these in the oven or instant pot as well! The flavor is so good I encourage you to make them any way you can! Let me know if you do give these a try.

    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • 1/4 cup chili garlic sauce
    • 1/4 cup tamari soy sauce (low sodium soy sauce)
    • 1/4 cup tangerine juice or orange juice freshly squeezed
    • 3 green onion stalks chopped

    Instructions
