If you love sandwiches, then you will fall in love with this air fryer grilled ham and cheese. Made with four ingredients in under 15 minutes!

What Makes This Air Fryer Grilled Ham And Cheese So Good?

    • It’s so buttery, crispy, and cheesy.
    • Makes the easiest and tastiest snack, lunch, or dinner.
    • The kiddos will love it.
    • The ultimate busy weeknight meal.
    • Goes great with fries, coleslaw, chips or tomato avocado salad.

    Ingredient Notes

Ham – I prefer thinly sliced honey ham but you can use thick-cut or shaved ham. If you don’t consume pork, feel free to use turkey instead.

Bread – I used white bread but you can use wheat, sourdough, or whole-grain bread.

Butter – Make sure it’s softened. If you don’t have butter you can use mayo instead.

Cheese – A combination of yellow American cheese and cheddar cheese is my favorite but any type of cheese will work.

    Top Tips

    • If you don’t like crispy burned ham edges, make sure to tuck it in between the slices. If the ham gets exposed, it will burn.
    • Make sure to spread a generous amount of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
    • Unsalted or salted butter works for this recipe.
    • I like to cook the grilled ham and cheese for 6 minutes on one side and only 4 minutes on the other side but feel free to start checking the sandwich at the 5-minute mark.
    • Feel free to add slices of tomato or cooked bacon!

Do I Need An Air Fryer To Make This?

No, if you don’t own an air fryer, you can simply cook it on the stovetop for 4-5 minutes on each side. Make sure to cook it over medium-low heat.

    Storage

I recommend enjoying it right away but if you have any leftovers, place them in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days. To reheat, place it in the air fryer and cook at 370 degrees F for 2-3 minutes.
