    Why You’ll Love This Recipe

    • Requires minimal ingredients.
    • Cooks in 22 minutes.
    • Packed with flavor.
    • Low carb and keto-friendly.
    • Super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
    • It’s delicious!

    Ingredient Notes

Bone-in Chicken Thighs – I highly recommend using bone-in skin-on chicken thighs but If you have boneless chicken thighs, adjust the cooking time. Boneless chicken cooks a lot quicker than bone-in chicken so keep that in mind.

Spices – I used a combination of garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. However, feel free to season the chicken with Cajun seasoning or chipotle seasoning instead. You can season the chicken any way you prefer.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    1. In a small bowl, combine all of the spices including 1 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Mix well.
    2. Pat dry the chicken on both sides with a paper towel and spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray.
    3. Pour the olive oil all over the chicken thighs and season the chicken with the spice blend.
    4. Spread the chicken thighs on a single layer and season the skin lightly with a little extra salt and pepper.
    5. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes at 370 degrees F.
    6. Once the 10 minutes are up, flip the chicken over and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Finally, increase the temperature to 400 degrees F and cook for 2 minutes. The chicken was cooked for a total of 22 minutes. Keep in mind that I used small chicken thighs. Make sure to cook the chicken until the inside reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Enjoy!

    Top Tips

    • Allow the chicken to sit at room temperature for at least 20 minutes before cooking.
    • Make sure to flip the chicken thighs for even cooking.
    • If you like the skin extra crispy, cook it for a few extra minutes at 400 degrees F. but keep an eye on them cause it can burn easily at that temp.
    • Enjoy these delicious chicken thighs with creamy mashed potatoes and honey roasted carrots for a complete meal.
    • Serve it with honey mustard, hot sauce, fresh lemon, or any of your favorite dipping sauces.
    • Place any leftovers in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. To reheat, place it in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes at 300 degrees F.

Do I Need An Air Fryer To Make These?

If you don’t own an air fryer you can bake these in the oven instead! Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Bake the chicken for 45 minutes and broil for 2 minutes or until the skin gets nice and crispy.
