I absolutely love quick and easy recipes and this one has become one of my favorites! If you enjoyed these air fryer scallops and air fryer turkey wings, then you will definitely love these air fryer chicken thighs.

Why I Love These Air Fryer Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs

  • Cooks in under 30 minutes and requires just a handful of ingredients!
  • The most tender, juicy, and flavorful chicken thighs ever.
  • These make the best leftovers! Place any leftovers in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. You can make chicken salads, wraps, or chicken dip with the leftover meat.

Ingredient Notes

Chicken – I used bone-in skin-on chicken thighs but feel free to use boneless chicken thighs. Although keep in mind that boneless chicken thighs cook a lot quicker than bone-in chicken thighs.

Honey Mustard – Feel free to use store-bought honey mustard instead!

ingredients for air fryer honey mustard chicken thighs.

How To Make

  1. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Season the chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, the seasoning blend, and olive oil. Mix well and set it aside.
  3. Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray and preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F.
  4. While the air fryer preheats, prepare the honey mustard. Mix the mayo, dijon mustard, honey, and grated garlic.
  5. Place the chicken in the air fryer, skin side down, and cook for 12 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken thighs and cook for 10 minutes. Brush the chicken thighs with the honey mustard and cook for 1 minute or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Serve the chicken with honey mustard on the side.
  7. Place any leftover honey mustard sauce in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Top Tips For The Perfect Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel before seasoning.
  • Let the chicken rest at room temperature before cooking.
  • Season the chicken under the skin.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket, if your air fryer is small, work in batches!

Can I Make This In The Oven Instead?

Yes, preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Bake for 40 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked through. Brush the chicken thighs with honey mustard and cook for 3-5 minutes. Broil for 1 minute for some extra color.
