These air fryer turkey wings are coated with spices and olive oil, then air fried to perfection. A quick and easy meal that’s packed with flavor and made in under 30 minutes!

Some of my favorite recipes include, honey baked turkey wings and instant pot smothered turkey wings.

If you don’t feel like cooking a whole turkey for Thanksgiving dinner then I have you covered. Succulent, tender, and juicy turkey wings that will impress your family and friends.

Why I Love This Air Fryer Turkey Wings Recipe

    • You can easily customize this recipe. Although I included brown sugar in the spice rub, feel free to omit the sugar and turn this into a low-carb and keto-friendly meal.
    • These can be served as an appetizer, snack, or main course.
    • Minimal ingredients – You just need turkey wings, spices, and olive oil.
    • High Protein – More than 50 grams of protein.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Turkey Wings – can’t find turkey wings? Use chicken wings instead, this spice rub is insanely delicious and will work on any protein.
    • Olive Oil – canola or vegetable oil works too.
    • Salt and Pepper

How To Make Air Fryer Turkey Wings Step By Step

    1. Begin by preheating the air fryer to 350 degrees F. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with olive oil. Pat dry the wings with a paper towel, make sure they’re completely dry.
    2. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, brown sugar, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
    3. Coat the turkey wings with olive oil and spice mixture. Make sure to coat them well.
    4. Cook the turkey wings for 15 minutes and then flip them over and cook for an additional 10 minutes. 25 minutes total or until the inside reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Let the turkey wings cool for 10-15 minutes before enjoying.

    Top Tips And Flavor Variations

    • Once the turkey wings are done cooking, let them rest for 10-15 minutes.
    • Feel free to use your favorite spice rub. Season them with this delicious chipotle seasoning or Cajun seasoning.
    • The turkey wings will release some grease while it cooks, take those drippings and make some gravy!
    • Use 1 tsp salt for every pound of meat. I used 2.5 lbs therefore I used 2 1/2 tsp salt.
two turkey wings on top of the air fryer basket.

Can I Use Frozen Turkey Wings?

I highly recommend using fresh turkey wings but if using frozen, make sure to let them thaw completely before air frying.

    Can I Bake These Instead?

Absolutely, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and bake for 1 hour or until fully cooked through.

Should I Marinate These Over Night?

Keep in mind that any time you marinate the meat overnight, it will always taste better. The flavor will intensify and the meat will be much more flavorful. However, you don’t have to marinate these. I didn’t marinate them and they were super flavorful.

What Can I Serve These With?

Although you can serve these on their own with some dipping sauces, some delicious sides would be a great addition. This 4 cheese mac and cheese and creamy coleslaw would go great with these.

I made this recipe tonight for dinner. Absolutely delicious – super crispy and flavorful. My fryer must run hot, as they were a bit overdone at 25 minutes. I’ll bring the temp down to about 340 next time.

An excellent recipe for turkey wings. So tasteful and easy to make. A little planning ahead for some of the ingredients makes it even more fun, and tasty. I make this dinner at least three times a month, if not more often. You can vary the seasonings with all sorts of creative ideas, and the wings just get better. AND it is just SO SIMPLE TO DO.

Thanks for this lovely dinner recipe.
