These air fryer loaded baked potatoes are stuffed with butter, cheese, bacon, sour cream, and scallions. Crispy on the outside and fluffy and cheese on the inside!
Serve these delicious loaded baked potatoes with air fryer filet mignon for the ultimate dinner meal.
When you combine cheese, crispy bacon, butter, and potatoes, you’re bound to come up with something delicious! Loaded baked potatoes are cheesy, buttery, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth good. These potatoes cook a lot faster in the air fryer than in a regular oven. I seriously can’t believe how easy it is to put these together.
Ingredient Notes
Potatoes – Try to use large russet potatoes.
Bacon – I cooked the bacon in the oven but feel free to pan fry it, air fry it, or use bacon bits instead.
Sour Cream – Full fat, fat-free, or light sour cream works for this recipe. Use whichever you prefer.
Butter – I used unsalted butter because I added lots of cheese and bacon but if you like it extra salty use salted butter.
Scallions – If you’re not a fan of scallions use chives instead.
Cheese – Cheddar cheese is what I like to use but feel free to use your favorite kind of shredded cheese.
Top Tips
- No need to wrap the potatoes in aluminum foil just poke holes all over the potatoes using a fork so the steam can escape.
- Make sure to scrub the potatoes with cold water and then pat them dry with a paper towel before seasoning.
- You can use queso instead of shredded cheese if you prefer.
- If you don’t like it too cheesy, add less cheese.
How Long Does A Potato Take To Cook?
In the air fryer, a russet potato cooks perfectly in 42 minutes at 400 degrees F. No need to preheat the air fryer.
Can I Omit The Cheese And Bacon?
Absolutely, feel free to simply serve the potatoes with butter, salt, and pepper.
