Big mac bites that are low carb and super easy to put together. They’re perfect for a lazy weekday, picnic, or even a snack.

These mini burgers are baked to perfection and topped off with a homemade special sauce, lettuce, cheese, and pickles. Once you give these a try, you’ll never want to cook burgers any other way.

Sometimes we just want a quick and easy healthy lunch that can feed a crowd. Although I served these big mac bites without buns, feel free to serve them on some soft onion rolls or your favorite type of bread.

You may certainly make the sauce ahead of time and keep it in the fridge until ready to use. Also, form the patties and place them on a lined baking sheet covered in the fridge. Make sure to let the patties sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before cooking it.

    Ingredient’s and Recipe Variations

    • Meat – I used 80/20 ground beef but feel free to use ground chicken, ground turkey, or ground lamb.
    • Cheese – Any type of cheese of your choice will work.
    • Onions
    • Salt and Pepper
    • Mayo
    • French Dressing or Russian Dressing
    • Sweet Pickle Relish
    • White Vinegar
    • Granulated Sugar
    • Paprika
    • Onion Powder
    • Garlic Powder

How to Make Big Mac Bites

    1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. While the oven preheats, combine the ground beef and finely diced onions. Roll the mixture into 15 golf-sized balls and then flatten them a bit. Place the patties on a lined baking sheet and season each side of the patty with salt and pepper. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until cooked.
    2. Cut each cheese slice into four squares.
    3. While the patties cook, prepare the big mac sauce. All you have to do is combine the sauce ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
    4. When your burgers are done baking, top each burger with a fourth of a slice of cheese and bake for an additional minute or until the cheese melts completely.
    5. Once the cheese melts, pull them out and serve with all the toppings.

How do I Make These in the Air Fryer?

Place the mini burger patties in the air fryer basket. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Add a piece of cheese on top of each burger, close it, and cook for an additional minute. Remove the burgers from the air fryer and serve warm.

    Tips for the Best Sliders

    • Use 80/20 ground beef for the best results. It is best to use no leaner than 85/15 for a juicy burger.
    • Season the patties after your formed and flattened them.
    • Don’t overcook the patties.
