These homemade garlic parmesan dinner rolls are the perfect addition to any meal. Super easy to make and perfect for fall baking!

These dinner rolls were the first rolls I ever made and the inspiration for this recipe. Basic rolls are delicious but if you add garlic and parmesan you simply can’t go wrong. Freshly grated parmesan cheese and granulated garlic are what takes these rolls over the top.

Savory bread recipes are best during the Fall and holidays. Freshly baked bread from scratch on Thanksgiving day? Yes, please. The best thing about these garlic parmesan dinner rolls is that they’re super easy to make and will have your house smelling amazing.

Serve these rolls with creamy shrimp alfredo pasta or a simple tomato and avocado salad.

    Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls Ingredients:

    • All-purpose flour
    • Instant Yeast
    • Sugar
    • Salt
    • Granulated Garlic
    • Whole Milk
    • Unsalted Melted Butter
    • Egg
    • Fresh Parmesan Cheese
    • Italian Seasoning

How To Make Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls:

    1. In a large bowl mix together 2 ½ cups flour, sugar, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, instant yeast, and salt.
    2. Combine milk, water, and the ¼ cup unsalted melted butter in a small bowl.
    3. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and then add the egg.
    4. Add as much of the remaining 1 cup and 2 tbsp of flour as needed, a little at a time, to form a soft dough that will
      form into a ball.
    5. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface until it is smooth and elastic.
    6. Shape the dough into a round and place it in a large bowl.
    7. Cover the bowl with a clean tea towel and place it in a warm place.
    8. Let the dough rise about 60 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
    9. Grease an oven-safe baking dish and set aside.
    10. For coating, combine the 1/4 cup melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl.
    11. After the dough has risen place it on a clean work surface.
    12. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
    13. Make each piece into a smooth ball by rolling it in your hands.
    14. Brush the dough balls with the butter mixture.
    15. Pour any remaining butter mixture over the rolls and cover with a clean towel.
    16. Let the dough rise in a warm place or until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.
    17. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    18. Bake the rolls for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

    Recipe Tips:

    • Use a stand mixer to mix the ingredients and then knead the dough on a floured surface for 3-5 minutes.
    • Let the dough rise in a warm place, preferably an oven or microwave that is turned off.
    • You don’t want the dough to be too sticky or too dry. The dough should be slightly tacky.
    • Cover the dough while it rises.
