WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS CHARRED CORN

  • You don’t need a grill! You can grill these directly on your stovetop.
  • All you need is fresh corn, butter, salt, and pepper.
  • Takes 15-20 minutes to cook on the grill.
  • If you want to feed a large crowd, buy more than 6 ears of corn!

INGREDIENT NOTES

See the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and complete instructions.

  • Corn – You’ll need about 6 ears of fresh corn. You’ll have to remove the husks and silk from the corn.
  • Butter – Softened at room temperature so it spreads easily. You can also do melted butter. Just make sure it’s unsalted butter.
  • Salt and Pepper – I highly recommend using Kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to season the corn.
  • Oil – Brush your grill pans with a little bit of oil before cooking the corn.

TOP TIPS

  • Make sure to grease the grill with some oil so the corn doesn’t stick.
  • The second you take the corn off the grill, brush it with softened butter and season with salt and pepper all over.
  • If you don’t have an outdoor grill, use a grill that you can place over your stovetop or cook the corn directly on your stovetop.

HOW LONG DO I COOK THE CORN FOR?

Place the corn directly on the grill and cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally. Use tongs for easy turning.

DO I HAVE TO SOAK THE CORN IN WATER?

No, you only have to soak the corn in water when cooking the corn in the husks. We’re removing the husks and silk so no soaking is necessary!

WHAT CAN I SERVE THIS WITH?

The possibilities are endless but here are some of my favorites to serve this charred corn with:

STORAGE

Have any leftovers? Place them in an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days.
